Our Mission

Scholares Astrorum's mission is to give underprivileged students the opportunity to explore obscure areas of STEM and foster the connection between STEM exploration and future careers. We have achieved this by establishing weekly STEM activities for elementary school students and a unique summer program that combines education and invention, for middle and high school students.

Change that will impact the future for decades to come

The founding idea for Scholares Astrorum began when the founders realized the disparity in access to STEM that occurs for smaller towns, minority communities, and low-funded schools. Involvement from outside organizations and funding for these areas is often extremely low and prevents students from accessing information and materials to pursue their STEM education. After noticing these issues within their own town through first-hand experience, the founders decided to take action by creating Scholares Astrorum, to give future generations the opportunities they never had.

Scholares Astrorum began as a weekly STEM education program taught at an elementary school in Southwest Virginia and soon spread to other states seeking the same opportunities. Scholares Astrorum has since grown to provide STEM opportunities locally and nationally!
